What's for Dinner???

It's the Weekend Baby!!!!

Well tonight I am going to a dinner party / wine tasting. All of the guests are going to make a dish at the host's home and teach everyone to make it. I am making Seafood Bisque! My favorite recipe... We also have to bring 8 eight copies of our recipe. Well I made little recipe cards, yes made the same card 8 times. I created a little system and it helped make it go faster. I just wanted to something more original than typing it up and printing it out on plain paper...

Here's my recipe:

Seafood Bisque

INGREDIENTS:
3 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup minced onion
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt or Tony Chachere's Cajun Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
12 oz of crabmeat
10 oz of shrimp, chopped
3 1/2 cups milk
2/3 cup heavy cream
1 can cream style corn

DIRECTIONS:
In a stockpot over medium heat, melt butter and saute onions until translucent. Whisk in flour and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. Season with salt or Tony Chachere's Cajun Seasoning and black pepper. Thin with some of the milk if necessary. Add crabmeat & shrimp then sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Whisk in milk and heavy cream. Add cream style corn to your liking (more if you like a thick hearty soup, less if you want it thinner). Heat and simmer 20 minutes. Posted by Picasa
