I love this store...

OMG! I must say I am in love with this store, Once Upon a Child. They have the cutest new and used baby and kid clothes. I can see I will be spending lots of money here. I spent $35 bucks and got SEVEN, that's right SEVEN outfits for "Junior"!! I am not a "2nd-hand snob" at all, I figure the little guy will only be wearing some of this stuff for a few months a best, so I should get the best deals I can on clothes.

Earlier this weekend I went to Gymboree and looked around with my hubby. This was his first time in a baby clothing store. He was shocked at how much baby stuff costs too. I mean come'on 20 bucks for a 3mo sweater!!! Now don't get me wrong I will hunt around Old Navy and Baby Gap for a deal too. But the stuff at Once Upon a Child just can't be beat. Gently used name brand clothes on the cheap... I love it! They also have many other used baby items... carriers, strollers, toys etc.

It's really too bad that I work very close to this store... I can see many a lunch break being spent shopping for "Junior".

That's great that you found a good store you really like. Baby clothes are outrageous, especially for boys!!!!! I am not a name brand fanatic, (don't think I have any myself), but you can get some great deals on ebay also. Bryan buys Jada the best name brand out fits for like 5-10 dollars, some brand new.

Man, I wish there was a store here like that! I will have to go with you when I come to visit. Can't beat a deal and I'm sure half the clothes there haven't been worn because they grow so fast! Cathyval

Girl, you better work those second-hand stores and Ebay. Especially for good shoes like Stride Rites and other name brands. Baby shopping is such fun.

baby clothes can be expensive, but target has some good deals. I am so excited for you guys and the crib is so beautiful, I can't wait to see the finished room

I totally agree that buying baby clothes at consignment and resale shops is the way to go. I still do it for my 2-year-old all the time! Babies and kids are rough on their clothes!!
Just getting back to your blog, and I see all the baby excitment. It's so fun!!!
